On November 24, a container sea-rail intermodal train loaded with 93 well-known domestic brand new energy vehicles entered the Ningbo Zhoushan Port Railway Chuanshan Port Station. So far, all 402 new energy vehicles of this brand have arrived at the port, and will be short-barged to Meishan Port Area to take a container ship to export to Europe, marking the opening of a new "land and sea" channel for the export of new energy vehicles at Ningbo Zhoushan Port.
In the past two years, China's new energy vehicle exports have shown a high growth trend. According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in the first 10 months of this year, Chinese auto companies exported 499,000 new energy vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 96.7%, accounting for 20.3% of total auto exports. Driven by the strong momentum of new energy vehicle exports, my country is expected to become the world's second largest vehicle exporter this year.

At the beginning of November, 33 new energy vehicles were successfully transported to Ningbo Zhoushan Port for sea-rail combined transport, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent opening of a new "land-sea" channel for the export of new energy vehicles. "In the past, new energy vehicles were mainly exported overseas through ro-ro. In order to further expand the overseas sales market and reduce the queuing time waiting for ro-ro capacity, we choose sea-rail combined transport to ensure a stable supply chain in overseas markets." It is understood that this new energy vehicle sea-rail combined transport train departs from Jiangsu Province to Ningbo Zhoushan Port and then directly goes to Europe, realizing the seamless connection of sea-rail combined transport. In order to ensure the smooth operation of the train, the Ningbo Zhoushan Port sea-rail combined transport team took the initiative to connect with the national railway and port units, carefully organized the whole process, customized the transportation plan, and invited technical personnel from the Shanghai Railway Bureau to go to the site to guide the whole process of container train loading and tracking to ensure the safe and fast shipment of new energy vehicles. Team members strengthen communication and coordination with Ningbo Maritime Safety Administration, help guide the implementation of relevant declaration matters, open up green channels for new energy vehicle trains, and ensure efficient shipment of trains.
