This batch of second-hand cars arrived at Tianjin Port by sea from South Korea. Complete the reloading operation of the supervised vehicles at the port, send them by road to Baktu Port, and export to Kazakhstan from Baktu Port in the transfer mode of the border bridge. The whole journey takes about 15 days, which saves about two-thirds of the transportation time compared with sea transportation.
In May of this year, the General Office of the State Council issued the "Opinions on Promoting the Stability and Quality Improvement of Foreign Trade", which clearly mentioned that more regions should be supported to develop second-hand car export business, expand the scale of second-hand car export, and improve the quality of second-hand car export.
As the "bridgehead" of China's opening to the west, Xinjiang naturally has the inherent advantages of developing transit trade. Liu Chengcheng, general manager of an international freight forwarding company in Tacheng City, said that the company broke the zero record of exporting cars this year, and has exported more than 100 vehicles so far. Baktu Port is recognized by many cargo owners for its convenient vehicle export and high customs clearance efficiency. Moreover, this single transit second-hand car has also realized the linkage between the seaport and the land port, further expanding the radiation range of the land port.
Last year, Baktu Port did not carry out car export business. "In the first 10 months of this year, Baktu Port exported 3,170 vehicles." Xiao Xinnan, chief of Tacheng Customs Supervision Section, said that the export of second-hand cars is a new form of foreign trade development, which is of great significance to promoting automobile consumption and industrial upgrading. Tacheng Customs will actively support the export business of transit second-hand vehicles, open up special channels from arrival, write-off, and exit, and check and release them at any time to ensure efficient customs clearance of vehicles.
Transit goods refer to goods that start from abroad and continue to be transported overseas through land routes in China.
