In the first half of 2022, the transaction volume of Ukrainian vehicles reached 712,000, a year-on-year increase of 1.1 times. Among them, 170,000 new cars were traded (160,300 Ukrainian-made cars and 9,800 imported cars), accounting for 24%, a year-on-year increase of 60%; second-hand car transactions were 542,000, accounting for 76%, a year-on-year increase of 1.4 times.
At the beginning of 2022, Uzbekistan abolished taxes and fees such as car purchase tax, car registration and car purchase contract notarization fees. Relevant experts believe that this is the most important reason for stimulating the rapid growth of Ukrainian car consumption.
According to data from the National Statistics Committee of Ukraine, in the first half of 2022, Ukraine imported 16,308 cars, an increase of nearly 100% year-on-year, of which 7,265 were imported from China, accounting for 44.5%; South Korea 4,510, accounting for 27.6%; Kazakhstan 2,896 , accounting for 17.7%, and 1192 in Russia, accounting for 7.3%.
