1. Constant speed gear and brake gear

The 2-5 gear (or 2-4 gear) of the hydraulic retarder is a mandatory retarder, which can be used on downhill and flat roads. 2. Precautions for the operation of hydraulic retarder

1. Remember! The retarder is only an auxiliary braking device, and the brakes are still required for emergency braking and parking.

2. Use the constant speed gear as much as possible, and let the fluid slow down automatically adjust the braking force according to the set speed and the current speed, so as to achieve the purpose of downhill at a constant speed.

3. When using the hydraulic retarder, remember to increase the braking force step by step, and never directly hit the highest gear from the zero gear, and do not use the hydraulic retarder step by step.

4. Select the appropriate gear and let the engine speed reach more than 1500 rpm, so that the heat dissipation system of the engine can effectively dissipate the heat transferred from the liquid buffer into the air.

5. When the vehicle is in the neutral state, the speed is low, and the engine water cycle is slow at this time. The engine water temperature may rise after the retarder is used for dozens of seconds, causing the retarder to quit working. Therefore, when the retarder is used The transmission cannot be in neutral.

6. Don't overload, any component is designed to have its acceptable range. When the vehicle is overloaded, if the kinetic energy generated by the downhill far exceeds the limit that the hydraulic retarder can bear, the hydraulic retarder may be "unreliable". ".
